✦ About Us ✦
We are a faith-rooted community based in Metro Detroit, Michigan, dedicated to the ancient wisdom of the Law of Assumption — grounded in Applied Judaism, Jewish Thought, and New Thought.
Our Foundation
"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he."
— Mishlei / Proverbs 23:7Our Identity
We are a faith-rooted community dedicated to one of the oldest and most profound truths in all of human wisdom: that what you hold in your heart — your deepest inner assumptions about who you are, what is possible, and what God has placed within your reach — becomes your lived reality.
This truth has always been here. In Torah. In Psalms. In Proverbs. In the Prophets. Long before any modern movement gave it a name, scripture had already spoken it with extraordinary precision. We are here to help you find it — in the tradition you already belong to.
The Law of Assumption is a collaboration between synagogue Congregation of Israel and House of God, an interfaith house of worship. We serve a global online community of over 1 million members across 192 countries, alongside a growing body of local and regional work with churches, faith communities, and interfaith gatherings throughout Southeast Michigan and beyond. We do not represent any single Jewish movement or church denomination, and we are not a self-help platform or life coach — we are a wisdom community.
"כְּמַחְשְַׁבוֹת לִבּוֹ כֶּן הוּא"
"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he."
— Mishlei / Proverbs 23:7We are not a self-help platform or life coach. We are a wisdom community — a gathering place for those who want to go deeper into the ancient truth that the inner life shapes the outer world.
— Our Core BeliefOur Foundation
Our teaching does not come from a single source. It is the convergence of three streams of wisdom that have, across centuries and traditions, arrived at the same essential truth.
Applied Judaism is the living practice of bringing the deep principles of Jewish thought — the Torah, the Talmud, the wisdom of the sages, and the Hebrew prophets — into the practical reality of everyday existence. At its heart, it recognizes that lev (heart), emunah (deep inner trust), bitachon (confident faith in outcome), teshuvah (return to true identity), and kavanah (inner directedness of heart) form a complete operating system for human flourishing — one the Law of Assumption makes accessible to all.
Jewish Science emerged as a distinctly Jewish response to Christian Science — sharing its recognition that mental and spiritual states profoundly shape the quality of human life, while grounding that insight firmly within the Hebrew scriptural tradition, in the lev, in the Psalms, in the declarations of the Prophets. It is one of the most important historical bridges between the ancient biblical teaching of inner assumption and its modern expression.
The New Thought Movement is a tradition rooted in Christianity that recognizes the primacy of the inner life — thought, belief, and assumed identity — as the source of outward experience. In Metro Detroit and across the United States, New Thought communities such as Unity and Centers for Spiritual Living have long understood the present-tense declarations of the Psalms as operative principles, keeping this understanding alive within the Christian tradition.
Applied Judaism asks: How does ancient Hebrew wisdom shape who I am? Jewish Science answers: Your inner assumed state is the source of your wellbeing. New Thought confirms: The renewal of the inner mind — as scripture has always taught — transforms the outer life. Three traditions. One truth. The Law of Assumption is where they meet.
Our Why
We exist because millions of people are searching. They have tried willpower, goal-setting, and positive thinking. They are hungry for something that goes deeper — something with roots, that connects their inner transformation to the living tradition of their faith.
❖ Our Mission ❖
To help every person discover the ancient, faith-rooted truth that their inner assumed identity — what they believe in the depths of their heart about who they are and what is possible for them — is the source of their lived reality. And to equip them, through scripture-grounded teaching, daily practice, and community, to assume the fullness of who God created them to be.
Our website and daily content — affirmations, short teachings, articles, and guided practices — serve over 4 million members worldwide across 192 countries. Accessible to all, entirely free.
Rigorously researched, faith-grounded content for every level — from complete beginners finding their first footing, to pastors, rabbis, and scholars seeking the deepest scriptural connections.
We come to your church, ministry, or interfaith community and deliver the teaching directly — in person or live online — through four structured, scripture-anchored workshops.
Our free daily newsletter delivers scripture-rooted affirmations, practical guidance, and community stories straight to your inbox. Joined by 4 million+ subscribers.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you."— Yirmeyahu / Jeremiah 1:5
Every principle we teach is grounded in the ancient wisdom of Torah, Psalms, Proverbs, the Prophets, and the New Testament. We do not add to the Word. We help people see what has always been within it.
We hold the Jewish and Christian wisdom traditions with deep respect. We are not asking anyone to leave their faith. We are inviting them deeper into it.
We do not teach from fear, pressure, or urgency. We teach from the warm, growth-oriented conviction that every person is already worthy of the life they were created for.
Whether you are a pastor in Metro Detroit, a rabbi in Jerusalem, or a quiet seeker at midnight — you are welcome here. The wisdom belongs to all who are ready to receive it.
We never place the emphasis on circumstances, results, or acquisition. The transformation we teach begins in the heart. The outer world changes as a fruit of inner renewal.
Everything we produce — every article, every workshop, every daily affirmation — is built to the highest standard, because the people who come to us deserve it.
Our Community
From the streets of Metro Detroit to a global community of over four million — this is what happens when ancient truth meets a world that is ready for it.
Moving Beyond Attraction
You may have arrived here having already explored the Law of Attraction. Many of our community members have. And if that journey brought you here, we are glad it did. We want to be clear about something, because clarity honors both you and the work: we are not a response to the Law of Attraction. We are not a competitor. We are not a correction. We are something older.
Attraction asks what you want to draw toward you. Assumption asks who you are being, right now, in your heart. One reaches outward. The other goes to the root.
The Law of Attraction works at the level of thought and emotion — directing focus outward to draw desired experiences in. The Law of Assumption goes deeper: to the root-level inner conviction of the heart, the assumed identity, the "thinking of the lev" that Proverbs 23:7 identified three thousand years ago as the source of what a person actually is. If you have come from the Law of Attraction and found it valuable but incomplete, you are in exactly the right place. Welcome to the deeper room.
Our Home
We are based in Metro Detroit — a city of extraordinary faith heritage, deep cultural diversity, and a long history of communities who have held onto truth through difficulty. We are proud to call it home.
Metro Detroit is uniquely positioned for the work we do. It is a city shaped by Jewish intellectual tradition, by vibrant Christian communities of every denomination, by interfaith dialogue, and by a working-class spiritual rootedness that does not settle for surface-level answers. It is the right city to pioneer the convergence of Applied Judaism, Jewish Science, and New Thought for a new generation.
Our local work focuses on churches, faith communities, and interfaith organizations across Southeast Michigan. Our global work, through our website, newsletter, and online community, reaches over 1 million members across 192 countries. One city. One ancient truth. One world.
